Study and Positive incidence in Au-antigen and Cardiolipin slide test of donors in Korea

Abstract
|
|
|
We studied for the purposes of clarifying the positive incidences of Au-antigen and
Cardiolipin slide test in blood donors front April 1st 1971 to July 1st 1972 at Korean
Red Cross Blood Service.
29,350 donors were tested for syphilis and 3,730 donors were tested for detection of
Au-antigen.
All of the donors were clinically healthy.
We also studied for Au-antigenemia of proved liver diseases under clinical and
laboratory findings.
The Results obtained were as follows;
1. .Au-antigenemia were 193/3,780 from the professional donors.(5.1%)
2. Au-antigenemia were 3/29(10.4%) from viral hepatitis, but liver cirrhosis were 0/4
(0%)
3. From our data, the relations of SGOT and Au-antigenemia were doubtful.
4. Positive our data, of cardiolipin slide test were 1,215/29,550 (4.11%) and seasonal
high incidence indicated November. December.
